MY STORY
I began learning flamenco music on my own as an independent study. I had a deep ingrained passion for middle eastern sounds. After much dedication I began to excel in music, and this hobby began to be more of an obsession.

I was born in Chile, Vina Del Mar, to a Chilean mother and a Chicago-raised father. My home was always multi-cultural and I am very proud of that. Spanish is my first language and I felt connected to flamenco because of it.

I was always very artistically gifted, but especially when it came to performing. I sung many times at school. I also participated in school plays. I learned to play the guitar when I was 12 and that's when I began my musical journey. I have always had a passion for flamenco deep in my heart, but I didn't know at the time what it was called. All I knew was I loved the Gipsy Kings and Camaron de la Isla. Years would pass by before I understood the origins of this magical music.

When I found a self-paced course in flamenco that I could work on I knew I had won the music lottery in my mind. Learning from the best was very important to me and so I looked diligently for the best flamenco guitar teacher I could find. I learned that playing the guitar is all about continuity, persistence and discipline... that was the secret. I tracked my progress and set realistic achievable goals for myself.

I would go to the Columbia river to play and practice flamenco. At first I was very shy and self-conscious, but my dream was to be a performer. So I did everything I could to push through my fears. Little by little I got better and better. Now, I am not as nervous, but excited and thrilled to share my talent with the world.

I am a passionate believer in learning and that learning never ends. I keep educating myself in flamenco music and dance every chance I get.
I recently composed two original flamenco rumba- Latin pop songs. I am very excited to share and I am in the workings of recording. Stay tuned!
